A bowlful of fruit bats have invaded what was supposed to be a generic still life painting! These miscreants delight in causing havoc and disarray, but despite this, fruit bats are nevertheless far sweeter in disposition than vegetable bats. Considered a delicacy in some countries, fruit bats are a cause for much controversy among vegetarians. As they straddle the boundary between plant and animal, fruit and flesh, most vegetarians abstain from eating them. Therefore, fruit bats are typically enjoyed by time-poor executives wishing to combine their main meal and dessert in a single course.
