Among the wee folk community, Dwarf Rabbit Gremlins rarely evoke fond memories in the minds of those who have had dealings with them. Petty criminal acts such as super-gluing coins to crowded sidewalks, souping up cars that are better off as scrap metal, and occasional indecent exposure (did you notice that none of these gremlins are wearing pants?), have resulted in many being arrested and gaoled over the years. Of course, being so small, escape from prison is easy for the gremlins and is usually made within minutes, the sewer pipe being the preferred route. Less adventurous gremlins opt for slipping between the bars and strolling a merry gauntlet of armed guards and saliva-fanged dogs.
The authorities are reluctant about labeling escaped Dwarf Rabbit Gremlins as "at large" for fear of causing confusion in the populace.
Acrylic on illustration board, 25 x 40 cm.
This car was a few streets down from where I live, and it looked so interesting I immediately wanted to paint it. I've done too few mechanical things, so this was a nice change from the natural/ landscape backgrounds that usually accompany my stuff. If you are able to identify the make of this car, you have too much time on your hands. According to the owner, it was going to be repaired, though it disappeared from his house a few days after the photos were taken. Lucky me! I almost missed out on painting it.
oh my. LMAO. just..the dirfferent ideas for the stories this one picture could be about...i love that.

Wow! What a cool old car! I love these kind of wrecked junk things lying around gathering rust and cobwebs, if I could paint as well as you could I would paint them too. Or take a photo, but for that I need a camera...
Weird little critters from Donna and an old peice of scrap; what's not to love?

Woop woop woop woop. I like your interperetation of gremlins, not as scarey as the ones I used to have in my dreams when I was a young one . I could so imagine 'em wearing pants, panties at that. Could you just imagine the weirded out looks of pedestrians if the gremlins got hold of a golf buggy and drove it down the street paths?
Anywho, I like the slight reflection in the metal the little fellas are sitting on. The detail in the car is great too, the folds of scrunched up metal and the little dirty and rusty bits.
NO PANTS?! *gasp* Ha, I love the dirtyness of this piece. It's really different from the rest of your gallery, I like it. The car looks sorta sporty, but I couldn't place it. Must have been fun to paint though, the lighting on the shiny points is perfect, and where the moss grows.
